Is making money all there is to life?

Have you ever felt like all you did was work and sleep? The endless treadmill of society keeps us running and rarely lets us rest. Bills need to be paid and appointments need to be met. Is that all there is to life? Or is there some purpose for living?

I believe that we were created by a God who loves us. With that preface, we should not live only for ourselves. Our purpose in life is to glorify our Creator. To do that, we need to live as an example of what God can do for someone. We need to point people to the promise of heaven. Ultimately, we need to lead people to love the God that we have come to know and love.

Some will say that there is no God or Creator, but how can they explain the complexity and beauty in nature. There is no way everything could have evolved from nothing. If you think about it, that belief just doesn't make sense. There has to be a God in control of everything. I believe that those who say otherwise don't want God to exist because they look at God as having so many restrictions and rules. God loves you and wants you to tell others that He loves them.

So, is making money all there is to life? I don't believe so.

5 Simple Ways to Save Money Outdoors

Many people don't realize that there are quite a few ways to save money around the home and yard. Some people are too lazy to work in their own yard, but most are too busy and just don't have time to fool around with yard work. Especially during the summer months, when the sun is beating down and the thermometer is rising, people tend to stay inside and watch TV or at least do something that doesn't take nearly as much effort. Not too many years ago, people must have thought differently. Practically everything they owned, they made themselves; basically everything they ate, they hunted, raised, or grew. People used to think nothing of walking long distances or of working from sunup to sundown in the fields and gardens. Horses used to be the best way of travel, but now luxurious cars travel the roads.
We say this is progress, but is it really? We spend more money than our ancestors, do less work than our ancestors and yet are busier and have less free time, weigh more (on average) than our ancestors, and in general are more unhealthy than our ancestors. The conveniences we have today are said to save our time, but do they really?
1. Mow your own lawn instead of hiring it out. Not only will you save a lot of money, but you will feel better, as well. Unless you have a massive lawn, think about starting up the old push mower and getting some good physical exercise.
2. Grow your own garden. Make one that as big as you can handle. Even a few tomato plants and a plot of greens is better than nothing. Just be creative. If you have surplus, then try to find a farmer's market where you can sell it.
3. Instead of buying edging for flower beds, find rocks to make your own. In many places, rocks are just lying around waiting to be picked up.
4. If you are shopping for implements like trowels, hand rakes, etc. Don't just look at Lowes. Try to check out Home Depot or Ace Hardware if there is one around. Or check online on Amazon and other sites.
5. Instead of buying plants at any time of the year, try shopping for them a week or two before Mother's Day or just after. Before Mother's Day will have much better selection, but afterwards, there are often great sales. Buy trees and perennials after season when stores are trying to get rid of them.
These are just a small handful of ideas. Just think about saving money and getting healthier and you will find all sorts of little or big projects to do in your spare time. Just spend a few minutes each day working outside and you will be surprised at how much you get done, how much better you feel, and how much thicker your wallet is.

Is Project Payday a scam or legitimate?

Many of you have probably seen this banner somewhere before and probably wondered whether this was just another one of the many internet scams. In this blog, I am going to review what my experience has been with Project Payday. I signed up for Project Payday and found out that it is a legitimate website to teach you how to make money online. You won't get rich this way, but you can easily make enough to help pay off those annoying bills. I have personally made over two hundred dollars so far in just a few hours of work working a little bit at a time. If you are one of thousands of people who have lost money to internet marketers, you can be assured that this is worth joining. In fact, you can join for free just by filling out an offer. However, there are a few things you should probably know.

If you just want to jump in and try it out, then click here.

The idea behind Project Payday stems from the freebie business. For those of you unfamiliar with this term, there are dozens of freebie sites where you can fill out a few offers, many of which are free, refer a few people, and get paid for it. At first, I thought that sounded hard to believe. But it really works! The way these websites make their money is that companies pay them to advertise for them.  The website can then pay part of that money (either in free stuff  like ipods or ipads or in cash) to people who fill out offers on their site. Sometimes those offers cost a little bit of money, but you will generally make more than you spend. You make the most money if you refer people to these sites. Some websites have limits to how many you can refer, but generally, the payment is bigger when you refer more people to the site who also fill out offers.

A drawback is that unless you keep track of the free trial offers and stuff that you end up not wanting, you can end up losing a bunch of money. If you keep track of what you sign up for, though, and cancel those offers that you find you are not interested in, then you can make a nice amount of money. Once you refer people to the site, you can make usually at least $50 per referral. That is pretty good money!

Click the banner at the top and try it out. I know you are still probably thinking that this is a scam, but unless you try it out, you won't know. I just know that for me, personally, Project Payday helped me get started. If you want to be adventurous, then click on the banner and start paying off those debts just by working a little in your spare time.

Welcome

Welcome to the Money sense blog. The point of this blog is two-fold. First of all, it will serve as a place for reviews for various products. Secondly, suggestions will be given on how to make money online legitimately.

Many people, in this internet age, will buy a product much more regularly if they know that what they are buying is worth buying. So many items are basically nothing more than junk. How do we know what is actually worth spending hard earned money on. It is a challenge, but honest reviews of products are one way to know that what we are buying is worth buying--we can learn from the mistakes of others.

Making money online is an often misunderstood concept. There is money to be made online, but it is not easy in most cases. I will share various ways to make money online that I have found work. You probably won't get rich, but you will have a little bit of extra money to pay bills with.

I hope your reading will be profitable. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
